All Council meetings are open to the public and are held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal & Safety Center, 4343 Cooper Road. The regular meeting schedule is:

• January through May, September, and October: 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month
• June through August and December: 2nd Thursday
• November: 2nd and 3rd Thursday

Blue Ash Regular Council meetings are generally held as described above and usually begin at 7:00 PM. Meetings are also posted to the City’s calendar of events (along with the agenda for that meeting). However, since some schedule and time changes do occur throughout the year, we encourage anyone interested in attending a meeting to call (745-8510) close to the date to avoid any inconvenience.

Though all Council meetings are open to the public, Council at times does schedule a work session format for a meeting. Generally, this work session format provides an opportunity for Council to discuss specified topics in greater detail than time may otherwise allow at a regular meeting. At work session format meetings, there is generally no opportunity for public input, though the public is welcome to attend and listen to the discussion. Work sessions also usually do not include legislation upon which Council formally votes.

An Executive Session may also appear upon a Council Agenda, which allows Council the opportunity to discuss certain topics amongst themselves. Examples of such topics allowed by Ohio State law include issues relating to personnel, property acquisition, litigation, etc. The Executive Session portion of a Council meeting is not open to the public.
